Value Plus' All Due Respect has been well-traveled in her racing career, and through it all proved her quality time and again. March 27 at Gulfstream Park was no different as she sailed to a 1 1/2-length victory in the $60,000 Ocala S. at a mile on the main track (VIDEO).

Value Plus is Florida's fourth-ranked third-crop sire. The 10-year-old stallion stands at Stonewall Farm for $5,000 live foal.

This was the first lifetime start at Gulfstream for the 4-year-old filly, who has run at nine different tracks in just 14 career outings. The Ocala also marked her first outing for owners Paul Pompa Jr. and the Taylor Brothers Properties, who recently purchased her privately, and trainer Rick Dutrow, Jr.

Coming off a rare off-the-board finish following a very troubled start in the $300,000 Sunshine Millions Distaff, All Due Respect had an ideal trip in the Ocala. She stalked in the second spot for most of the one-turn race, then moved to the front readily at the furlong marker, and widened as she hit the wire in 1:36.01, earning an excellent 96 Beyer Speed Figure.

“She had a bad experience in the gate in her last start,” Dutrow said. “From what I hear, she banged her head and lost a tooth or two. She’s a nice addition to the barn, and there are a lot of options. She can run on dirt, grass, or synthetic. We’ll look around.”

All Due Respect now sports a 4-4-3 record, with earnings of $302,082. This was her first career stakes win; she has placed in six graded races. She was bred in Florida by Lau-Mor Farms.
