Aquitania went into the $75,000 Interborough Stakes at Aqueduct on the first day of the New Year riding a four-race winning streak at Laurel and came out with the first stakes-placed performance of her career. In her initial stakes try, the 4-year-old daughter of Leroidesanimaux finished a solid third, just two lengths behind 2/5 favorite Nicole H., who was clocked in 1:10.99.

Aquitania is 5-0-2 in nine career starts and the $7,500 check for third pushed her earnings to $94,797.
