Aquitania made her graded stakes debut in the prestigious, $200,000 Barbara Fritchie Handicap on Feb. 18 at Laurel Park and finished fourth after being involved in a heated early battle up front in the seven-furlong race that went in a quick 1:22.36. The 4-year-old filly by Leroidesanimaux, a 15-1 shot, collected $12,000 for the Gr. II effort and boosted her earnings to $106,797 on a record of 5-0-2 in 10 starts.
