After posting four seconds and three thirds in her first 11 races, it took veteran Shane Sellers to break the maiden of B. J.'s Leroi on Jan. 14. Sellers guided the 4-year-old filly into the lead going to the half in the one-mile turf race at Fair Grounds, and kept her going for a half-length triumph as the 6/5 favorite. The victory was worth $13,008 to the Louisiana-bred daughter of Leroidesanimaux and boosted her bank account to $49,093.
