Bear No Joke broke his maiden in career start number two with a will a well-earned neck victory at Woodbine on Oct. 21. The 2-year-old son of freshman sire It's No Joke was second in his debut last month at the same track.

It's No Joke is the leading money winner at stud outside of Kentucky by top sire Distorted Humor. It's No Joke did his best running at age four, winning the Hawthorne Gold Cup (G2), Ack Ack H. (G3), and the Bet On Sunshine S. He won seven of 16 lifetime starts, earning $685,612.

Bear No Joke won his maiden race with a stalking trip, coming from third to take the lead while going four wide into the stretch. The final time for the five furlongs was :58.22.

Bred by James and Janeane Everatt and Arika Everatt-Meeuse, Bear No Joke was purchased at auction as a yearling for $74,272. He is owned by Bear Stables.
