After enjoying one of the most successful careers in the long history of Florida racing, Big Drama, the Eclipse Award-winning Sprinter of 2010, has been retired to stand at Stonewall Farm for 2012. With earnings of $2,746,060, the son of four-time Florida leading sire Montbrook stands in ninth place on the list of Florida's all-time money-winners.

Big Drama campaigned for four seasons for his breeder, Harold Queen, kicking off his career by sweeping the open divisions of the Florida Stallion Stakes series at Calder Race Course by a combined 11 1/2 lengths. By the time he was retired, he compiled a record of 11-4-1 in 18 starts. He won 10 stakes, four of them graded, and was disqualified from first in another.

Among his many outstanding accomplishments, as a 4-year-old Big Drama won the Breeders' Cup Sprint in 1:09 flat en route to his championship season. At five, he captured the Mr. Prospector Stakes at Gulfstream Park in a track record-setting 1:08.12 for the six furlongs. His Beyer number of 120 for that race was the highest in the country for 2011, and he topped 102 in the Beyer department seven times in all.
