Swirls made her career debut in a $40,000 maiden claimer over the synthetic track at Hollywood Park on Dec. 8 and went wire-to-wire, winning by 2 1/4 lengths in 1:16.95 for the 6 1/2 furlongs. The 3-year-old Florida-bred filly picked up a check of $15,000 for owners Jon and Sarah Kelly, who also bred the daughter of Leroidesanimaux.
