In his highly-anticipated Breeders' Cup appearance on Nov. 5, Great Attack ran a game fourth in the Turf Sprint, 2 3/4 lengths behind favored Regally Ready. The 4-year-old son of Greatness sat close to a scorching early pace in the 14-horse field, moved into second place at the head of the stretch, and battled gamely down the lane, missing third by a mere half length after five furlongs in :56.48, less than one second off the course record.
Great Attack, a four-time winner in 13 starts, collected a check for $60,000 for his effort, increasing his earnings to $233,918 for owners Jeff Seder and Patti Miller.
