With leading Calder rider Luis Saez in the irons, So Great kept her perfect in-the-money record intact with a dominating victory in a five-furlong turf race on Nov. 5. Saez had the 3-year-old daughter of Greatness sitting in third place behind a blistering pace in the early going and shot her to the lead in early stretch. So Great, sent off at even money, drew off to score by three lengths in :56.86.
The victory added $19,820 to the filly's bank account, and she's 3-1-1 in five starts with total earnings of $63,256 for owner Paul Pompa Jr. and trainer Marty Wolfson, all accumulated since July 22.
