Two-year-old Glor Na Mara (Ire) posted his fourth Group stakes performance of the year on October 16, running a strong third to champion pro tem Frankel (Ire) in the prestigious Dewhurst S. (G1) at Newmarket.
 
Carrying 127 lbs., the bay colt from the second crop by Champion Leroidesanimaux (Brz) defeated three other Group winners, including previously undefeated Group 1 winner Dream Ahead and previously undefeated Group 2 winner Saamidd. 
 
Prior to the Dewhurst, Glor Na Mara had run second in three Group stakes in 21 days, the Phoenix S. (G1) on Aug. 8, the EBF Futurity (G2) on Aug. 22, and the Round Tower S. (G3) on Aug. 29. Bred and trained by the venerable Jim Bolger, Glor Na Mara races for Mrs. Jackie Bolger, and has amassed earnings of $151,013 in six starts. His Standard Starts Index is an excellent 5.83.
 
Leroidesanimaux has sired five Group/Graded stakes horses from his first two crops, more than any other second crop sire in Florida, and second best among all second crop sires in North America.
