A. P. Warrior's Megalithic earned his first career victory Nov. 20 at Aqueduct in his second lifetime start. The gray or roan juvenile gave his sire his fifth winner when he took a maiden race going 1 1/16 miles over the main track.
Megalithic was second in his debut on Nov. 6. He bettered that result with the recent 1 1/4-length score, upping his earnings to $34,440 for owner Agnes Peace. Bred in New York by Austin Daniels, Megalithic was purchased by Peace at the 2009 Saratoga August preferred yearling sale. He is out of the stakes winning mare Filitosa.
A. P. Warrior is currently ranked sixth among Florida's freshman sires. He has done particularly well at auction this year with his 2-year-old colts, with an average hammer price of $130,000. The 7-year-old sire stands at Stonewall Ocala for $6,000, LFS&N. He is one of only two freshman Florida sires with a stakes winner in their first crop.
