Monyona, a New York-bred daughter of Strong Contender, stalked the early pace racing a mile and 70 yards on the main track on Oct. 31, made a quick move to take over the lead approaching the three-quarter pole, and drew off from her rivals without the need of pressure to score by eight lengths. The 3-year-old filly, sent off as the 3/5 favorite, has won two of her last three starts and increased her earnings to $48,398.
