There was nothing mystifying about the 2 1/4-length victory of Mysticism in a seven-furlong, $50,960 allowance race at Aqueduct on Nov. 10. The 3-year-old went wire-to-wire under Jose Lezcano, leaving 9/10 favorite Fusa Code more than 17 lengths in arrears.
Mysticism, a Kentucky-bred son of A. P. Warrior, was clocked in 1:23.44 while collecting a check for $31,200. That bumped the gelding's bank account to $69,290 on a record of 2-0-2 in six starts.
