Princess Mara, who didn't race at two and three, made her first career start for trainer (and co-owner) Dale Romans at Aqueduct on Feb. 1, and powered to a three-quarters of a length victory in a $32,000 maiden race under Ramon Dominguez. Sent off at odds of 4-1 in her debut, the 4-year-old daughter of Leroidesanimaux sat off the early pace, came three wide into the stretch and overtook the leaders in the final sixteenth, earning a check for $19,200.
