Roman Sur scored his fourth victory of 2011 after a hard-fought battle racing a flat mile at Turfway Park on Dec. 22. The 4-year-old Burning Roma gelding stalked the early pace, engaged the leaders in the four path on the turn, then edged out in the final sixteenth to win by half a length. It was the fifth career victory for the Florida-bred gelding, who raised his earnings to $41,458.
