Value Plus got his third winner in as many days when Shining Value captured a maiden race on May 22 at Lone Star Park.
Three-year-old Shining Value was prominent throughout the 1 1/16-mile race, stalking in third for the first four furlongs before permanently taking over the top spot. He gradually widened from that point, winning by 2 1/2-lengths.
Value Plus is currently a top-15 second crop sire. The 9-year-old's leading earner on the year is All Due Respect, who ran second in the Santa Anita Oaks (G1) and third in the Railbird S. (G3).
