Despite setting suicidal fractions, Jungle Juice became the second winner for freshman sire Spellbinder on Nov. 5 with an impressive performance at Remington Park. In her career debut, the 2-year-old Kentucky-bred filly went nose-to-nose with Beer Drinkin Man through fractions of :21.86, :44.97 and :57.64, then pulled away from the 3/5 favorite to win by 2 1/2 lengths in 1:11:08 for the six furlongs. Jungle Juice earned $10,296 for the score.
