In just his third career start, Race to the Top finished third in the $75,000 Christopher Elser Memorial Stakes at Parx Racing on Nov. 13. The 2-year-old gelding by A. P. Warrior battled for the lead from the two path through sizzling fractions of :22.43 and :45.71 before succumbing to 1/10 favorite Adirondack King and jockey Stewart Elliott in the lane. In an ironic twist, the winner is a Lawyer Ron colt bred by Stonewall Farm and he's now 3-1-1 in five starts, with three straight victories and earnings of $139,610.
Race to the Top, who had broken his maiden by 16 lengths at Parx in his previous try, earned $8,250 for his initial stakes effort, and has banked $37,160 in his three starts.
