Cochinita, a 2-year-old Strong Contender filly bred in Kentucky by Debby Oxley, picked up her first victory on Oct. 21 in a maiden special at Hipodromo de las Americas in Mexico City. Racing six furlongs over the main track, Cochinita destroyed the field by 6 1/2 lengths at odds of 3/5.
