Sweet Jody overcame a bumping incident at the start and went on to win at six furlongs over the main track at Fair Grounds on Jan. 6. The 4-year-old daughter of Value Plus, sent off at even money, stalked the early pace, went three wide on the turn and was a length the best at the wire, clocked in 1:12.34.
The Louisiana-bred filly earned $10,152 for the victory, and is 4-1-1 in 10 starts with career earnings of $72,912.
