Value Plus received his tenth winner in dynamic fashion on Oct. 8th, when his 2-year-old colt Our Champion romped to a 6 ¼-length victory in a $23,700 maiden special weight race at Calder.

Trying turf for the first time, Our Champion kicked clear strongly in the stretch to win all alone at the finish in a visually impressive performance. He stopped the clock in 1:45.09 for 1 1/16 miles over a firm course.

Our Champion is out of the Verbatim mare Little Password, and the bay colt was a $73,000 yearling purchase at last year’s Fasig-Tipton October sale.
