Top-15 second-crop sire Value Plus notched another winner with his son Alvin and David scoring in a maiden race at Evangeline Downs on May 27. The gray or roan scored by 3 1/4-lengths as the 2-5 favorite in the 6 1/2-furlong sprint.

Alvin and David is a half-brother to Munificence, a two-time stakes winner who earned $108,650. Their dam See Jane is a half-sister to Proud Run, winner of eight stakes races and $663,910.

Value Plus is represented by an impressive 21 winners on the year, placing him ninth on the sophomore sire list. His leading earner is All Due Respect, second in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks this past March.
