Value Plus notched winners every day from Dec. 1st through 3rd. The Stonewall second-crop sire is ranked third in Florida among sophomore stallions. He is represented by six stakes horses in 2010, led by the multiple graded stakes-placed filly All Due Respect, who finished second in the Santa Anita Oaks (G1).
December kicked off with a win by 3-year-old Rime Ice at Hawthorne. The gray or roan filly now has four wins and seven top-three finishes in nine starts on the year. She has earned $65,470 for Majel and Alton Ison and was bred in Kentucky by Clifton Farm.
The other winners both came at Remington Park. On Dec. 2, the fittingly named Made in Oklahoma made a stunning move from some 25 lengths behind to come flying home to win her maiden breaker by four lengths. As her name suggest, the 3-year-old was bred in Oklahoma by Center Hills Farm.
The following day, the much simpler-named Connie, also three, won her maiden in front-running fashion, winning by a similar margin of 3 3/4-lengths. Connie was bred in Kentucky by Katy Cowan and is out of October Beauty, who has produced seven winners in as many starters.
