Value Your Angel showed her affinity for the Presque Isle Downs synthetic surface with an easy tally in a 5 1/2-furlong allowance race on May 15. The final margin of victory was 3 3/4-lengths for the 3-year-old son of Value Plus.
Value Your Angel was pressured for the first two furlongs, but drew away from the field after another 1/8-mile, pulling out to a six-length lead in mid-stretch before being geared down in the final 70 yards.
The chestnut colt is owned by The Elkstone Group and trained by Michael Rogers. He has compiled a solid 2-3-1 record from nine starts, earning $65,800.
Value Plus is currently a top-15 second crop sire. His leading earner on the year is All Due Respect, who ran second in the Santa Anita Oaks (G1) and third in the Railbird S. (G3).
